Clean air in operating rooms and clean rooms
A clean room or operating room in a hospital is a positive pressure room in which clean air is laminated above the operating area. By also taking advantage of temperature differentials, the insulated and laminated airflow is discharged directly through openings in the walls, preventing contaminants from moving through turbulence in the room.
A screen with two layers of very fine plastic mesh
The air is laminated by passing it through a screen with two layers of very fine plastic mesh. These screens (called CG distributors) are installed in the ceiling in a plenum in front of the air intake. The double-sided mesh-covered screen distributes the air evenly over the entire surface of the screen, thus ensuring an even air flow without swirls. Any contaminants present are removed by the air flow.
