Fine mesh for screen printing

Screen printing is a flexible printing method in which an even layer of ink is printed through fine mesh onto a substrate. The screen printing mesh is stretched tightly on a frame and provides a thin and even distribution of ink on the substrate. This printing technique offers many possibilities because the substrate can be anything from textiles to plastics, paper, metal and more.

Because mesh is flexible, the substrate does not have to be flat. Different substrates and different ink systems require different types of mesh. Printing a T-shirt with plastisol ink requires a relatively open mesh. For example, when DVDs or CDs are printed with UV-drying ink, very fine mesh is required.
