Polyester (PET) mesh
Top Zeven carries a wide program of polyester woven mesh along with some extruded polyester (PET) mesh. Polyester mesh is widely used in the everyday environment. Examples are pyramid tea bags, dust filters in clothes dryer or vacuum cleaner, limescale filters in kettles, or filter mesh in your cell phone speaker. Furthermore, woven polyester mesh is used in a wide range of industrial filters. It would go too far to provide a complete listing of industrial filters with woven mesh but some well-known applications include oil filters and interior filters in the automotive industry and blood and liquid filters in the medical industry.
Polyester woven mesh is a calibrated mesh which means that all threads are at an exact, fixed distance from each other making all mesh openings exactly the same size. Polyester mesh is woven from high-quality monofilament thread and is available in a range from 10 to 2000 micron mesh openings. View our total range of woven, polyester mesh.
Polyester mesh has good resistance to chemicals (see tables under Downloads) and good resistance to high temperatures. Polyester mesh is also known for its excellent biological resistance: it can withstand various light and weather conditions well. It also has good resistance to acids but is sensitive to alkali (see Properties of synthetic fibers). Learn more on our woven mesh page.
Top Zeven has an ample amount of polyester mesh in stock. In addition to supplying mesh by the meter or roll, Top Zeven can also offer you a custom solution using die-cutting, stretching, cutting and laminating facilities (see Operations page).
