Polypropylene (PP) mesh

Polypropylene mesh (also called polypropylene mesh or PP mesh) is known for its excellent resistance to chemicals and recyclability. It is chemically stable and made of hydrogen and carbon atoms. When polypropylene mesh burns, only water steam and carbon dioxide are released. Only polypropylene is considered sustainable among fossil fuel-based plastics.

Most polypropylene plastics (without additives) meet the strict regulations of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States. Polypropylene has a melting point of 165°C. Polypropylene mesh is used in many industries. For example, it is used in the medical industry (surgical), the food industry, for packaging purposes, in laboratories, in textiles (ropes, thermal underwear and carpets, for example), for parts in the automotive industry and as spacer mesh in reverse osmosis (RO) and ultra-filtration (UF) filter units.

Top Zeven offers woven – and extruded polypropylene mesh, rigid polypropylene mesh tubes and extruded B.O.P. (bi-axially oriented polypropylene) mesh. The width of our bi-directional stretched polypropylene mesh goes up to 4 meters. The openings range from 3 mm to 15 cm. The thickness of our extruded PP spacer mesh ranges from 0.67 mm to 2 mm.
